Set everything out on the table so your child can see all the tools first.
Fill the wooden tray with soil, then let your child fill the tiny clay pots with soil right over the tray.
Plant a seedling or a few seeds in each pot, then lay pebble paths between the pots.
Write each herb's name on a mini marker and plant it beside its pot.
Place the acorn house, mushrooms, fences and little animals along the paths.
Invite your child to plant herbs, move them between pots, water them with the sprayer, and smell each one.
Rosemary, mint, and lavender offer strong, soothing scents for sensory exploration. The sprayer is the secret star here: children will water this garden long after the planting is done.
Every product linked on this blog lives in one sorted place, with what it is, where we used it, and why I’d buy it again.
